More than 200 riders took part in the fourth Malle Mutór in Rimini, including 42 from abroad. The countries of origin named include Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Serbia. The event, held from 8 to 11 October, combined three stages in the Italian hinterland with rides on the beach.
Altarimini published the participation figures on 11 October. The report contains no breakdown by country and no names of riders from the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The 42 refers to all foreign participants.

Three stages, two routes to choose from
The route programme covered around 700 kilometres through Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Tuscany and Umbria. Two routes were available each day. The start and finish point was Piazzale Boscovich in Rimini, which also hosted the event village with exhibitors and test rides.
Malle Mutór was organised by AJ MOTO S.S.D. a r.l. The regulations expressly define the event as non-competitive. The tour is aimed at medium and large enduro bikes; navigation was possible via GPX track or, optionally, an electronic roadbook.
The route description calls for good off-road riding skills. It mentions loose stones, ruts, steep climbs and descents, and river crossings, among other things. Demanding “Power Stages” and sand sections could be bypassed. According to the organiser, the routes can become considerably more difficult in the rain.

Beach programme and criticism of its use
Among the highlights were seven kilometres along the beach at the start of the stages. The finale on Sunday was Mar&Mutór, with motocross on a marked-out sand course. This supporting programme was to be distinguished from the non-competitive touring format. Access to the village and the beach programme was free for spectators.
The use of the beach also drew objections. As Il Resto del Carlino reported on 12 October, the Basta Plastica in Mare Network criticised possible effects on the coastal ecosystem in an open letter to the city. Rimini Smoke Box, by contrast, joined organisers, riders and volunteers in a beach clean-up; pocket ashtrays were also handed out.
