No community stands for solidarity as much as the rally community. That is exactly what we need now. In an earlier blog post I wrote about MIRA – a brand that has been supplying the best clothing for our sport for years and has become a fixture of many of our rally trips.
Then, at the start of the year, fate struck hard: the production site burned down completely. Numerous machines, raw materials and finished products were lost. The insurance processes are dragging on, and it is still unclear whether, and to what extent, anything can be settled at all. MIRA is not just a family business – jobs depend on it, and those jobs are urgently needed.
And yet: at MIRA you notice that rally mindset straight away. That “giving up is not an option” attitude we all know from our sport. It is now showing in everyday work too. A new production site was found quickly. Things were repaired, improvised, organised – and the first MIRA jackets are in fact already back in production. That simply deserves respect.
But one thing is also clear: much is still missing in many places. And this is exactly where our community can show what it is made of.
That is why I did not want to make a traditional donation appeal – it simply doesn’t feel right to me. I wanted to create something that brings people together.
With the help of Bend Motowear and Shirt-King, I have therefore designed a MIRA “Rise of the Phoenix” shirt. A small symbol that you can get back up after a setback. If you like, you can become part of this restart. You will find pictures of the shirt at the end of this post.
The whole thing works very simply:
For a contribution of €45 (postage included) you get a shirt. The entire proceeds go directly to MIRA as a donation.
Simply send the amount to me via PayPal using this link: https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/9miIa4mhey
Please include your name, your address and your desired size in the PayPal message. If any questions come up, you can reach me at any time at mira@road2rally.de.
We are collecting orders until 25 February 2026. Shipping will follow roughly one to two weeks later. I am organising this myself, so please be a little patient. It is not a glossy online shop, but a community campaign from us, for us.
And that is exactly what this is about: solidarity. Support. Rally spirit – away from the track too.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every bit of support. Truly.
Yours,
Chris from Road2Rally
