Entry deadline for the Qatar International Baja ends today

Today, 14 October 2026, the entry deadline for the Qatar International Baja expires: at 17:00 local time, which is 16:00 in Germany. Transport and flight subsidies are available for international motorcycle riders. The event runs from 28 to 31 October and is based at the Lusail International Circuit.

The Qatar Baja counts towards the FIM Bajas World Cup and the FIA Baja series. In the motorcycle World Cup, according to the organiser’s announcement of 28 September, Alex McInnes leads Abdulhalim Al-Mogheera by two points; Mohammed Al-Balooshi is eight points behind.

What support FIM riders receive

QMMF distinguishes between participants from the GCC states in the Gulf and overseas participants. For the latter, the organiser lists the following benefits:

  • US$2,500 subsidy towards transporting the competing vehicle.
  • US$700 flight cost subsidy.
  • A twin room for five nights, breakfast included.
  • QAR 1,500 start money for entries made from 1 to 14 October.

For GCC participants, the transport and flight subsidies are US$1,250 and US$350 respectively. According to the supplementary regulations, these benefits require the rider to pass administrative and technical scrutineering and to start the Baja.

Entry fee and deadline already passed

The FIM entry fee is QAR 4,000 with optional organiser advertising, or QAR 5,600 without it. The start money paid out is separate from this. An entry is accepted only on full payment.

Tracking and navigation devices are included; a deposit of QAR 1,500 is required for them. The NAV/GPS installation kit is not included. Anyone needing a visa applied for through the organiser had to register by 9 October at the latest. Today’s entry deadline does not extend that date.

Free onward transport to Dubai

QMMF, the Dubai organiser EMSO and DSV have announced free group transport between the two Bajas. It is aimed at participants who have entered both events. Places are allocated in order of receipt and are limited. The plan is to collect equipment and gear at the service park in Qatar, followed by road transport to Dubai. The offer covers this onward transport, not free travel from Europe.
