+++++ “Dal Tacco al Tassello”: finale at the Swank Rally di Sardegna

The adventure riding project “Dal Tacco al Tassello” has come to an end for 2026 with the Swank Rally di Sardegna, according to the project’s press office Adventure Riding in a report published on Solo Enduro (15 October 2026). Debora Versari and Anita Zardo were at the start of the night prologue at the Crossodromo della Malpensa. Lucrezia Sfamurri dropped out injured; Chiara Rosichetti, who had already taken part in the project in 2025, stepped in for her. On the final stage, Zardo rode with a faster group, according to the report, while Versari and Rosichetti stayed together.

The press office credits all three riders with progress in riding technique and safety, supported by their tutor Renato Zocchi. The report gives no results, stage data or distances. The project’s official prize-giving is announced for the Motor Bike Expo, which the report describes as the 2026 edition; no date is given. According to the press office, the project partners include Honda Motor Europe-Italia and the Italian motorcycle federation FMI.

+++++ Dakar after Saudi Arabia: an explicit thought experiment

The website TimeOut Racing compared eight possible host regions on 16 October 2026 for the Dakar after its time in Saudi Arabia, from around 2030. The author himself calls the piece a thought experiment; in the sources available, the organiser ASO has not announced any change of location. According to the article, Dakar director David Castera has said the rally will stay in Saudi Arabia until at least 2029, possibly together with other countries. No original ASO source for this statement is available.

TimeOut Racing sees Morocco, South America, southern Africa, Egypt, the Gulf region and Central Asia as the most realistic candidates; North America and Australia are also considered. For scale, the article points to the 2027 Dakar, which was planned with 5,320 kilometres of special stages out of 8,390 kilometres in total.

+++++ Jean-Loup Lepan finishes Rallye du Maroc in 23rd

Jean-Loup Lepan finished the 2026 Rallye du Maroc in 23rd place, as Courrier Picard reported on 4 October 2026. The report does not make clear whether this refers to the overall or a class ranking. It was the Frenchman’s first start in a round of the W2RC World Rally-Raid Championship since his serious crash at the same rally in October 2024. After two falls on the penultimate stage, he described himself as “bien cabossé mais en un seul morceau” (translated: “pretty battered, but in one piece”).

According to actu.fr (11 October 2026), the second stage, on which the 2024 accident happened, covered 423 kilometres, 300 kilometres of it special stage. On the third stage (590 kilometres, 361 kilometres of it special stage) he got lost twice. According to Courrier Picard, his next goal is a start at the 2027 Dakar.

+++++ Lynx Navigator: navigation app for rally raid and enduro

According to its App Store description, the Lynx Navigator app combines GPS navigation with GPX tracks, online and offline maps, a Roadbook Builder for creating your own roadbooks from GPX tracks, and digital roadbooks. For events, the provider says each day’s roadbooks and tracks arrive in the app automatically; also included are tracking by the organiser on race days and an SOS function. The App Store lists the app for the iPad, and it is also available in German.

The download is free. Advanced features such as the full RoadBook PRO, unlimited offline maps and cloud storage require a subscription; prices are not given in the description available. All feature details come from the provider itself, and use at specific rally events is not documented.
