New KOVE 350 Rally

A tall rally fairing, a slim silhouette and knobbly tyres: the new KOVE 350 Rally makes you want to head for gravel tracks and long stages. The motorcycle was shown publicly for the first time at CIMA Motor 2026 in Chongqing. For adventure riders, the interesting question is above all this: how much rally bike do you need for your own adventure? The show photos point to a seriously off-road-oriented design. As of 23 September 2026. This is a presentation with editorial commentary, not a road test. The technical details come from current show reports; a finally confirmed German-market version is not yet part of our research.

What is known about the KOVE 350 Rally

Motoblog gives the following key figures for the motorcycle as presented:

  • Engine: water-cooled single-cylinder of around 350 cc with SOHC valve timing.
  • Power: around 41 hp at 9,000 rpm; 33.7 Nm at 7,000 rpm.
  • Weight: 155 kg ready to ride with the 21-litre tank full, according to the report.
  • Suspension: adjustable 43 mm upside-down fork and adjustable rear shock.
  • Wheels: 21-inch front, 18-inch rear.
  • Ergonomics: 890 mm seat height and 260 mm ground clearance.

These figures should be read as reported show data. The weight reference is particularly important: a figure with a full tank cannot be compared directly with a dry weight. Confirmation for the later European version remains to be seen. Source: Motoblog, CIMA report of 21 September 2026.

Rally looks with visible practicality

In the show photos, the tall front mudguard, the narrow seat, hand guards and the tall windscreen stand out. The red and turquoise livery makes the show piece unmistakable. Which colours and equipment details will eventually be in dealers’ showrooms has not yet been decided. Show photos and commentary at Motoavantura.

From our point of view, this concept particularly suits riders who want to link road sections on tarmac with gravel routes that are legal to ride. What will matter is whether wind protection, seat comfort and suspension set-up still convince after several hours. That cannot be judged from pictures and a data sheet alone.

An interesting base for getting started?

A compact single-cylinder sounds appealing for first roadbook tours. However, a smaller displacement does not automatically make a motorcycle easy to handle. Throttle response, clutch control, centre of gravity and the right suspension set-up count for more in slow terrain than the model name.

A tall seat also calls for a sit-on test: being able to steady yourself on sloping ground can matter more to beginners than a few extra horsepower. Before making a purchase decision, we would therefore check in particular how easy it is to manoeuvre with a full tank, riding standing up and the availability of spare parts.

Anyone who wants to ride with a roadbook later should also plan space, mounting and power supply for navigation and controls. Whether the 350 Rally can be equipped for this with reasonable effort has to be shown on the production motorcycle. The rally look alone does not answer that question.

Price and availability: Germany still open

Motoblog reports a planned sales start in 2027. A binding German delivery date or list price is therefore not documented. The 350 Rally is not yet listed in the official German KOVE model overview as currently checked. The specific EU homologation and the scope of the production model on sale here also remain to be clarified before a purchase decision.

Our first impression

The KOVE 350 Rally is an interesting newcomer for riders who want adventure and rally character in a manageable motorcycle. Whether it becomes a convincing starting point will be decided by the actual sale price, everyday usability and a reliable road test. Until then, the show premiere offers good reasons to keep an eye on the model, but no basis yet for a final verdict on buying it.
