Every journey, however long, begins with a first step. So does the road to rally. In the current episode, I will take you along on one such step: the BluDay-Rally, to the best of my knowledge the only off-road rally with a roadbook for motorcyclists in Germany.
For the commentary, I was able to bring in Chris Sauter (host of the DakarFM podcast) as a participant in this episode, along with one of the organisers, Stefan Hessler of HRT Racing. Fortunately, it was not just riding reports: the conversation also drifted into the wider world of rallies and their history. For that reason, this is a “somewhat” longer episode.
