Online entries for the 59th SCORE Baja 1000 Cabo to Cabo close on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, at 9 pm Pacific time, which is 5 am CET on 29 October. This is according to SCORE International. The race in San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, is the fourth and final round of the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship. The motorcycles are due to start on Friday, 13 November, at 1 am local time (MST, 9 am CET) on Avenida Centenario, with cars, trucks and UTVs following at 9 am local time. The organiser contradicts itself on the dates: its website gives both 9 to 15 November and 9 to 16 November.
According to SCORE, the largest motorcycle class is currently Pro Moto Ironman with 21 entries. Solo riders contest the entire race there without a rider change. According to the organiser, as of 20 October, Pro Moto 50 follows with six teams, and Pro Moto Unlimited and Sportsman M/C with five registered teams each. Teams from Baja California Sur and other Mexican states can also register in person at the Hotel Catedral in La Paz from 20 to 22 October.
+++++ Baja Portalegre 500: Gaudêncio crashes while leading, Duarte finishes sixth
Team Bianchi Prata missed out on a possible overall win at the 40th Baja Portalegre 500 on 16 and 17 October. Gustavo Gaudêncio (Honda CRF250RX) was second after the first day, 17 seconds behind the leader, took the provisional lead in the second special stage (SS2) and retired after a crash a few kilometres from the finish. According to the team statement, rescue crews had to attend; the team gives no information on his condition. João Duarte (Honda CRF450RX) finished sixth in the motorcycle classification, third in the TT2 class and second among juniors. Mariuxi Taranto crashed at kilometre 20 of SS2, broke her arm according to the team and retired.
The course for motorcycles and quads was 508.73 kilometres long, of which 352.52 kilometres were timed. The results come from the team’s statement; no official results list from the organiser was available. Team manager Pedro Bianchi Prata is quoted in the English version as saying (translated): “We want to win races, but above all we want our riders to finish and be well.” The team names the Baja de Castelo Branco from 13 to 15 November as its next event.
+++++ Saudi Arabia cancels car rally in Jeddah, Dakar 2027 unchanged so far
The Saudi Arabia Rally will not take place in 2026 as part of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC). The Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and the Saudi Motorsport Company said so in coordination with the FIA, as the EFE agency reports at iusport. The car rally had been scheduled as the season finale for 12 to 14 November in Jeddah. EFE links the cancellation to continuing attacks on the kingdom by Yemen’s Houthi rebels. The statement quoted gives a comprehensive assessment of the logistical and organisational preparations as the reason.
The Dakar 2027 is due to take place in Saudi Arabia from 1 to 15 January. According to EFE, no change to the programme has been announced so far, although one stage is due to pass through the city of Yanbu, which the agency says has repeatedly been attacked by the Houthis. Whether the Dakar Rally is affected remains open: no statement from the Dakar organisers on route and dates is available.
+++++ Tout Terrain Rally Cup: Marini wins title for Aprilia, according to Sportmediaset
According to Sportmediaset, Thomas Marini won the overall standings and the M5 class for twin-cylinder motorcycles in the 2026 European Tout Terrain Rally Cup. For Aprilia Tuareg Racing, this is reportedly the first overall title in this series. Team-mate Jacopo Cerutti finished second in both the overall and class standings. According to the report, the rider from San Marino was contesting his first season on the Aprilia Tuareg Rally; at the opener in Santiago de Compostela he finished second behind Cerutti. The information comes from a summary of the Sportmediaset report on the news aggregator Zazoom dated 19 October. No official results list or confirmation from the organiser is available, and the summary does not give the place or date of the season finale.
+++++ Rallye Roses des Sables: Entries for 2027 open, early bird until 31 December
Entries for the 2027 Rallye Roses des Sables are open. According to the organiser, the edition runs from 30 October to 7 November 2027 in the Moroccan desert, with female competitors in Moto, Quad, 4×4 and SSV. The early bird rate applies from 19 October to 31 December 2026 for the first 50 teams; a place is only secured by paying a deposit of 25 per cent of the entry fee within 72 hours. The page does not state the early bird prices directly in the text. Membership of the Club des Roses is required, at 300 euros per participant, valid for three consecutive editions and deducted from the entry fee. Two participants entering Moto or Quad together pay 5,000 euros each instead of 6,300 in the duo offer, each with her own race number and ranking; the offer cannot be combined with the early bird. The full programme is due to be presented in January 2027.
+++++ Fenix Rally: 2026 entry fees at previous year’s level, stated deadlines have passed
The Fenix Rally in Tunisia says it is keeping its 2026 entry fees at the 2025 level. On the organiser’s undated price page, the cross-country category for enduro motorcycles and quads (ATV) costs 3,290 euros each at the promo rate until 30 May 2026 and 3,590 euros at the standard rate until 5 September 2026. The last payment deadline stated there ended on 15 September 2026. The page does not say whether late entries are still possible, nor does it give the event dates.
According to the organiser, the fee includes satellite tracking, a safety system, a digital roadbook and GPS as loan devices, hotel accommodation in a double room, meals on all rally days, third-party liability insurance and medical care including helicopter evacuation. The programme comprises a prologue and seven timed stages. The deposit of 1,400 euros for enduro and ATV is non-refundable.
