Portugal is preparing for the 100th edition of the 6DAYS® FIM Enduro of Nations. More than 500 participants from 30 nations have been announced for the event in Grândola from 12 to 17 October. The opening ceremony is scheduled first, in Sines on Saturday 10 October. The sporting questions range from Josep García’s next individual win to how nine German riders fare in the club classification.
The Parade of Nations is due to begin at 5 pm local time, which is 6 pm German time. The route leads from the Vasco da Gama Castle to the stage on the beach. Until the race start on Monday, final preparations and scrutineering remain. The published pre-entry lists show the planned field; they are no substitute for a final start list after technical inspection.
García chases a sixth win, Spain the World Trophy
Josep García won the individual classification five times in a row from 2021 to 2025. In Portugal, the KTM rider can extend that run to six wins. In the organiser’s interview of 29 September, however, he also looks ahead to a title that still eludes him with Spain: the World Trophy. Four riders and four motorcycles have to survive six days to win it. His own fastest time alone is not enough.
His opponents include Italy’s Andrea Verona on KTM, France’s Zach Pichon on TM MOTO and Great Britain’s Brad Freeman on Beta. After his Junior outing in 2022, Pichon faces his first start in the World Trophy team. Freeman returns to the Six Days for the first time since 2019, as the official preview of 2 October notes.

For hosts Portugal, Sebastian Bühler on KTM is entered in the World Trophy. He is joined in the quartet by Luís Oliveira on Yamaha, Gonçalo Reis on KTM and Renato Silva on Triumph. Portugal also fields Junior and Women’s Trophy teams and, according to the team presentation of 5 October, a total of 14 teams in the club and veteran classifications.
Nine German riders in three club teams
No German team is listed in the official pre-entry lists for the World Trophy, Junior World Trophy and Women’s World Trophy. German riders are not absent as a result, though: the club documents published on 25 September name three teams with nine riders in total.
| Club team | Entered riders and brands |
|---|---|
| Team Germany – ADAC Nordbaden | Martin Werz (Husqvarna), Paul Topor (Husqvarna), Marvin Möhler (GasGas) |
| Team Germany – DMV e. V. | Marco Pfeifer (KTM), Matthias Reichmann (KTM), Leonard Steiert (KTM) |
| Team Germany Nordbayern / Best Plum Racing | Luca Wiesinger (Sherco), Sven Marker (GasGas), Petr Krivanek (Husqvarna) |

The club classes make up most of the field. The organiser expects around 340 riders across the Club Team Award, Veteran Club Team Award and Women’s Club Team Award combined. Amateurs meet riders with world championship experience there: Italy’s club team lines up with Manolo Morettini, Pietro Scardina and Simone Cagnoni. Morettini was part of the winning Italian World Trophy team in 2025. Twelve teams are named among the veterans, and so far one in the Women’s Club Team Award: the British Rogershill Women’s Team.
Women and juniors with their own championships
The US team in the Women’s World Trophy consists of Brandy Richards on KTM, Korie Steede on Husqvarna and Rachel Gutish on RIEJU. Richards arrives as the 2025 individual winner. Italy’s junior line-up includes Alberto Elgari on TM MOTO, Manuel Verzeroli on TM MOTO and Kevin Cristino on Husqvarna. The Trophy classifications run in parallel, but each has its own teams and results.

Five days off-road, then the sand finale in Sines
From 12 to 16 October, the official schedule provides for two laps a day, each with three special tests. The first rider is due to start at around 8 am local time. On Saturday 17 October, the closing Cross Test on sand in Sines follows: the club teams first in the morning, then the Trophy teams in the afternoon.
According to the organiser, access to the paddock, special tests and final race is free for spectators. Those watching from home get, at FIM-MOTO.TV for an announced €10.90, the last special test of each day, studio shows, the Final Cross Test and replays, among other things. The offering includes selected live segments, not continuous coverage of every test.
Current scrutineering documents, course maps and further official announcements are available on the digital noticeboard. For the actual starting field on Monday, the status after scrutineering remains decisive.
